The selection of outstanding students at the vocational high school level, particularly at SMK Plus Al Hilal Tegalgubug, often faces constraints related to subjectivity and time inefficiency. This is generally caused by the conventional or semi-computerized processing of assessment data. Therefore, this research aims to design and implement a Decision Support System (DSS) capable of determining outstanding students objectively, accurately, and transparently. The software development in this research employs the Waterfall model, which consists of analysis, design, coding, and testing phases. In the decision-making stage, the system applies the Weighted Product (WP) method. The WP method was selected due to its high efficiency in solving multi-criteria decision-making problems by multiplying attribute ratings, where each rating is raised to the power of its respective predefined criterion weight. This software is built using a Graphical User Interface (GUI) based on the Python programming language and integrated with a MySQL database system. The testing results indicate that the application operates well and is capable of automatically calculating scores to generate student rankings. In conclusion, the implementation of this Python GUI-based DSS significantly facilitates the school in selecting outstanding students more quickly, accurately, and with proper documentation.
